    Literally do not see a reason to pay for cable. I have hulu plus and Netflix and rabbit ears on my TV and thats literally all need except I occasionally stream Gilmore Girls.

    One of the most minor reasons I’m glad I don’t have roommates any more is because I got to avoid the pushback that I’m sure would have happened when I would’ve decided I didn’t want to pay for cable any more.

    I don’t even pay for it at my house, but the ones who do said nope to HD so I gave the box back and just put an antenna on my TV. Most people should also realise that the channels received by antennas now are digital by law and in HD!

    The picture on my TV from the networks I get is actually better free than it is paid.

      fuck i got the hulu plus trial and my tv has an app for it so this is awesome

      it has all of the tv i watch or am interested in and a fuckton of anime and a buncha stuff i think is interesting

      between this and netflix, i really don’t have a need to torrent. it’s all in high quality and i don’t have to wait for it to download.

      i think i’m going to start paying for this and just torrent whatever is too new or too old and isn’t provided by hulu or netflix

      honestly i don’t get how people still pay for cable

      between these two services, there is more than enough for average tv/movie watchers, and you can even get amazon prime if you’re missing stuff and it still costs less than cable

          I was incredibly suspicious of starting Elementary.

          I thought there was no way it would be as engaging or as smart as BBC Sherlock or the other Sherlock-based series I love, the Mary Russell books. BUT, ya know, if I’m already involved in two Sherlock spin-offs, why not try a third during finals week?

          Yeah, I love it. The first couple episodes are not the hardest cases to figure out, but they have to introduce people somehow. By the finale, I was jumping up and down on my couch. And it’s not only a well-written show, but a socially conscious one. That’s hard to find.

          That’s all I’ll say so I don’t spoil anything.

          Consider me fully converted.

              Finally getting my engagement ring resized!! We also tried to get each other wedding bands (like just plain gold bands) but they wanted wayyy too much for them and were kinda pushy about it. There are jewelry stores everywhere and I know we’ll get our bands somewhere better. 

              We also got the last of our furniture today and just have to wait on it being delivered. We haven’t yet spent our first night at the apartment because not everything we need is there yet. We now have a bed, though! So pretty soon we can actually LIVE there. I can’t wait!!

                  Thank you!!!!! It started fabulously, the middle was sort of shitty (I got the stomach flu) and the end was great! (I forced myself to go out anyway and had a good time)
